Where's Jesus in our Anxiety?

Genesis 3:1-15

Anxiety afflicts many people, because we don't know how to deal with the feeling of having no control over the environment. Our anxiety can be so traumatic that it even manifests in somatic ways, but the gospel comes in to set us free by exposing Jesus on the cross in our place. God tells us not to be afraid for He is with us wherever we go, even when that means revisiting the source of our anxiety to confront the trauma.

Tune into this week's sermon as Pastor Sam explains how the cross breaks the curse of anxiety and saves us from our afflictions.

Small Groups

Life is never meant to be lived alone. God created us for community and to belong. But, we know that revealing our true selves can be intimidating. Thankfully, at 180 Church, we don't take ourselves too seriously. We recognize that everyone is messed up, and we need others to help us grow. So we encourage you to join one of our small groups and journey in faith together:

  • Professionals & Graduates
  • Families
  • College & Youth

About 180 Church

180 Core Values

  1. Gospel Driven:
We believe the very foundation of our values is driven by the complete change found in Jesus Christ. This is where all our values and beliefs stand.
  2. Transcending Culture:
We believe that culture gives us a context of expectations and customs in how we relate to one another. Therefore, the gospel is not counter or anti-cultural, but rather transcultural. It's about creating Christ values within it and to represent Him well.
  3. Spirit Filled:
We believe in the person of the Holy Spirit and the charismatic gifts. The purpose of being Spirit-filled isn't for the sake of manifestation or the gift itself, but to be a witness and bear fruit!
  4. Community Based:
No one is exempt from struggle. No matter who you are, where you are from or what you do, you will have a moment of crisis. That is what it means to be human. That is why we believe that no one is meant to live a life of faith on their own. We are brothers and sister who are in a journey of faith together.
  5. Risk Taking:
We are people who believe in the impossible. We are faith-filled people who are willing to risk everything for the sake of the advancement of the kingdom of God. That is what it means to be a follower of Christ.

Who is 180 Church?

Founded in 2008, 180 Church exists to help people turn to Christ and live for Christ. We are committed to raise up people that are willing to give up everything to follow Jesus and represent their communities for Christ.

Statement of Faith

Our main theological statement of faith is synonymous with the Lausanne Covenant that was engineered by the renowned theologian Dr. John Stott, along with Dr. Billy Graham (BGEA) and Dr. Leighton Ford (Arrow Leadership), which was drafted in 1974 at the first Lausanne Congress for world evangelization.

To learn more about our statement of faith, see the Lausanne Covenant of Faith.

180 Church is an evangelical interdenominational Church, strategically aligned and associated with the Lausanne Movement, founded by Dr. Billy Graham in 1974. 180 Church also manages programs and partnerships that extend our mission to help every metropolitan city in the world "Joining God to restore the beauty in all things."

Why Give?

We at 180 believe that financial integrity (traditionally, tithe) is a non-negotiable part of Christian discipleship. This means that we cannot grow spiritually apart from honoring God with our finances. We pray that we would all strive to make God our first priority and not our last resort in any area of our lives.

However, sometimes we don't give to God not because we're evil or don't want to, but simply because we have the tendency to forget! This is precisely why we have created a way for all of us to give online.

All donations are tax deductible.
